North Tarrant Express Segment 3A
Project Details:
The North Tarrant Express is dedicated to improving mobility along north I-35W, northeast I-820 and SH 121/183 Airport Freeway through a regionally supported managed lane system. The $1.73 billion NTE 35W Project spans 18 miles in Fort Worth. It will be built in segments with NTE Mobility Partners Segments 3, LLC (NTEMP3) constructing Segment 3A and the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) constructing Segments 3B and 3C. Plans to reduce congestion by doubling capacity include reconstructing the existing lanes and adding two TEXpress (toll-managed) Lanes in each direction on Segments 3A and 3B. Segment 3C will add one TEXpress Lane in each direction. Segment 3A: Segment 3A is 6.5 miles of I-35W from north of I-30 to north of I-820. |
